Riiiight. And what about underage kids? Think they should be exposed to that sort of thing? (Even if a lot of them are the guilty party responsible)

Attitudes like yours is only helping to contribute to the crappy environment. Yes, let's all ignore problems and hope they go away.

GW needs to add this feature: absolute ignore.

when a character gets added to someone's absolute ignore list, all characters belonging to that account will simply not appear to the person who added him, and the offending character will never again see the person who added him/her. that character will never get added to that person's random teams. to the person who added, the offending character might as well ceases to exist. with this feature, the problem will eventually solve itself, as these idiots will eventually find all the zones to be "empty".

Oh common.... /ignore and move on.

Underage kids is not an argument. If you're afraid underage kids will hear/see something they shouldn't you had better make every kid wear a blindfold and ear-plugs.

/ignore and don't make such a big issue over such things, IMO.

Political correctness aside, grow a spine and ignore them if it bothers you so much. Seriously. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, regardless of how crude, uninformed, or biased. If Anet wants to police their policies then by all means. Or you can simply be the bigger person and not let it bother you. That sort is generally only out for attention and to feel important to begin with. Ignore them and you deny them what they're after.

No offense but I sometimes wonder how some people honestly make it in the world, where everyone doesn't agree with them, some people make statements they oppose or feel insulted by, without some Big Brother to take care of the problem for them.

Edit - Underage children should not be playing a T rated game. That's Mom and Dad's responsibility to keep their virgin eyes safe from harm, not mine.

Ignore, Ignore, Ignore. That's all you people can come up with? What's funny is that you couldnt take your own advice and ignore the comments I made but instead came back with retorts such as "grow a spine!" Good job on the hyprocrisy!

And to the genius who said the Teen rating is not for underage kids...what do you call the TEENAGE 13-17 crowd? Adults? Pure genius. Think before you speak.

Every time I go into RA, I spend no more than 1 minute actually in the district before entering the arena, and after that, I usually keep entering.

Seriously, if you're in RA long enough to see the people who sit in there all day with no other intentions than trolling over-sensitive people, you're probably looking for a show.

If not, turn off local, or barring that, explicitly ignore the user.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a load of malarky that those guys do that stuff, but you shouldn't be burning up ArenaNet's time with dozens of reports for slightly bad behavior. The best behavior is to just ignore them. If you report/retort, you will just egg them on and give them the attention they want.

No, I don't go "trolling" for bad behaviour. But there's enough time between entering matches to see that crap...especially in chat balloons. I do have my local turned off most of the time and that's a shame. Basically, these people have shut off social interaction for decent folks. So why is it bad to report such garbage?

And how is it a waste of ANET's time? That's just your opinion. Take your own advice and stay out of people's business if they want to report racial slurs and such. It's really hyprocritical of you people to say "Just ignore them you idiots!" when you could have ignored this thread and moved on.

Actuality in the real world most people would never dream of saying the type of trash that I see in guild wars. Most people show at least a modicum respect to strangers. In the real world if you said any of the things that I see in GW to another person they would knock you on your bottom.

I wish that people would just show a little maturity and respect other users and leave the trash talk where it belongs, in the gutter.

When I see members posting such trash I put them on the ignore list and leave that district, if they are on my team I leave after first stating the reason I am going.

Hooray for exaggerations.
Were we supposed to hold your hand, tell you it will be okay, and someone will solve your problem for you?

And if you think the 13-17 crowd are these blessed little angels that need our protection then you either don't get out much, or are more idealistic than even I am. Any logical parent that concerned with what little Billy and Susie see and hear wouldn't allow their spawn to play the game in the first place.

Thought before spoken. Simply because its apparently outside some people's level of understanding doesn't make it hypocrisy. Welcome to real life and differing points of view.

Ok, this is getting a bit ridiculous.
The people that care enough to report these things will, and the ones that don't won't.

In the event that you're interested;

And if you're not, the show's over, nothing to see here.
